Heather Conwell, RN, MSN, Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer

As Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer, Heather Conwell is responsible for overseeing the operations of the hospital’s nursing staff. Heather joined Downey Regional Medical Center in 1982 and started her career at the hospital as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room. Heather was named Assistant Director of Nursing in 1987 and Chief Nursing Officer in 1989. Heather was named Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer in 2007.

Heather is actively involved with a variety of activities, to include: serving as a director with the Downey Federal Credit Union, Chair of the Memorial Trust Foundation’s 12:15 Club, and an active member of the Rotary Club of Downey.

Heather earned her R.N. from the Los Angeles County School of Nursing and holds a B.S.N. and M.S.N. from California State University, Long Beach. Heather also earned a B.A. from UCLA in 1971.
