Bill Stein, Vice President, Ancillary Operations

As Vice President of Ancillary Operations, Bill Stein is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of the hospital’s ancillary/support departments and providing direction and leadership to physicians, staff, and employees. He is responsible for supply chain and is heavily involved in the contracting for devices, supplies and pharmaceuticals. Bill brings more than 28 years of healthcare experience in managing various departments in for-profit, non-profit and teaching hospitals. Prior to coming to Downey, he was with National Medical Enterprises (now Tenet), Charter Medical and spent 10 years at the University of Arizona Medical Center.
Bill served for many years on the Southeast Los Angeles Workforce Board, representing the City of Downey. He also represents Downey Regional Medical Center by serving on committees of the hospital’s group purchasing organization.
Bill earned a degree in Pharmacy from the University of Arizona.
