Who can visit?

Visitors are limited to the patient's spouse, children, parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters and close friends.

Only two people may see the patient at a time and only for brief visits.

Because the capacity of the center's waiting room is limited, we ask that only two or three family members remain there between visits. Additional family or friends will be comfortable in our main lobby.

H1N1 Update

Downey Regional Medical Center is committed to the safety of patients, visitors and staff.  To this end, Downey Regional is announcing the implementation of the following Visitors Policy:

   1. Visitors to DRMC must be 18 years old or older, to include visitors waiting in the lobbies.
   2. Maximum of two visitors, at a time, will be allowed in the patient room.
   3. Staff will screen visitors for flu-like symptoms.
   4. Visitors with flu-like symptoms will be asked to leave.
   5. Guidelines are posted on the premises and staff will review with visitors, families and patients.
